3D Pyrography – Hanging Easter Eggs
Celebrate spring with this creative and relaxing pyrography workshop, where you’ll design and decorate your own wooden 3D Easter eggs. These sculptural eggs can be hung as charming seasonal decorations, perfect for adding a handmade touch to your home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners (must be 16 years or over) as well as those with some creative experience. While working on a three-dimensional surface is a little different from flat wood, Connie will guide you every step of the way, helping you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.
You’ll begin by learning how to safely and comfortably use a pyrography pen, with plenty of time to practice different marks, shading, and textures on wood. Connie will also share helpful tips for working on curved surfaces, making it easier to adapt your designs to the shape of the eggs.
Once you’re ready, you’ll choose from a selection of spring-inspired templates - think florals, patterns, and seasonal motifs - or you’re welcome to create your own design. If you’re not confident drawing freehand in pencil, please feel free to bring along some template ideas. By the end of the session, you’ll have one or two beautifully burned 3D wooden eggs (depending on the complexity of your designs), finished with a protective coating and ready to hang as unique Easter or spring decorations.
