Ceramic Butter Dish workshop
Join us for this relaxing and rewarding workshop where you'll create a beautiful, functional
ceramic butter dish perfect for your kitchen countertop or dining table! This is a great
class for all skill levels, focusing on achievable techniques with highly customisable
results.
What you'll learn to make: You will learn the versatile slab-building technique to
construct a two-part butter dish designed to perfectly fit a standard block of butter. The dish consists of a flat plate and a separate lid with a handle.
Unleash Your Creativity:
Custom Plate Design: You will be guided on how to roll and shape your clay. Then, you can customise the plate and lid by imprinting unique patterns using a variety of decorative stamps and texture tools provided in the studio, allowing you to create countless designs.
Personalised Handle: The lid handle is a wonderful opportunity for customisation! I will demonstrate various handle designs and shapes, and you can choose to sculpt a traditional knob, an abstract shape, or something entirely unique.
Glaze Choice: You will have a selection of gorgeous glaze colours to choose from to finish your functional piece. This full session will guide you through every step of construction, ensuring you leave with a stunning, unique piece.

Please Note: Your finished butter dish will need time to dry, be fired, and glazed. It
will be ready for collection from the venue approximately two to three weeks after the
workshop.
