Silver Fancy trying silver jewellery making, but find the idea of starting from scratch a little daunting? This one’s for you.
Our Personalised Silver Necklace Workshop is a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to silversmithing, where the pressure of creating the actual pendant shape has already been taken care of!
You’ll start with three ready-made sterling silver discs, so rather than worrying about cutting, shaping or soldering your jewellery from scratch, you can get straight to the really fun bit - playing with textures, patterns and stamps to make it completely your own.
Experiment with letter and number stamps, hammered finishes and decorative textures. Add initials, names, meaningful dates or little details that mean something to you - or forget the sentimental stuff altogether and simply create a pattern you love!
There’s no right or wrong design and no need to arrive with a plan. You can play, experiment and build your necklace as you go, with plenty of step-by-step guidance from our silver jewellery tutor.
Your workshop includes three sterling silver discs and an 18-inch sterling silver curb chain, plus all the tools and materials you’ll need.
This is a brilliant workshop if you’ve always fancied trying silver jewellery making but have felt a little intimidated by some of the more technical workshops. You’ll still get to work with real silver, learn new techniques and use traditional jewellery-making tools - just with a much gentler, no-pressure starting point.
