Clay & Candles - A Two-Part Creative Workshop
We’re bringing together two of our most-loved crafts - pottery and candle making - in a unique experience designed to be creative, mindful, and beautifully cosy.
Part 1: Pottery - Saturday 18th October, 10am till 1pm
In the first session, you’ll create your very own candle vessel from stoneware clay. Guided by Vicky our pottery tutor, you’ll learn slab-building to form the body of your vessel and coiling to create a strong and elegant base. You’ll also have the chance to decorate your piece with textures and patterns before choosing from a range of glazes to make it truly your own. Once finished, your vessel will be dried, glazed, and fired, ready for the next stage of your experience.
Part 2: Candle Making - Tuesday 18th November, 6.30pm till 8.30pm
When your vessel is ready, you’ll return for a cosy candlelit evening where you’ll learn the art of candle making. We’ll guide you through the process step by step, from preparing your vessel to pouring and finishing your candle. You’ll explore our extensive scent library, with a choice of warm winter and festive fragrances, to create a candle that feels personal and seasonal. Your candle will be left to cure, ready for you to collect, and you’ll also leave with the knowledge and skills to refill your vessel again and again at home.
This workshop is more than just a craft session, it’s an experience. You’ll create something beautiful, practical, and long lasting: a handmade vessel that can be refilled with different fragrances throughout the seasons, making it a keepsake to treasure for years to come.
