While your tutor is there to assist, this session is best suited for those comfortable working independently.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring the day you'll have the space and time to create whatever your heart desires using high-quality stoneware clay. You might choose to spend the entire day meticulously building one large, complex masterpiece, or you could spend your time crafting a series of smaller items - the choice is entirely yours!\u003cbr\u003eYour tutor will be on hand throughout the day to provide individual guidance, offer technical advice, and help you bring your unique visions to life.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eImportant: Come Prepared! \u003c\/strong\u003eTo make the most of your six hours in the studio, it is essential that you arrive with a plan. Because this is a self-directed session rather than a guided project, we ask all participants to have a think beforehand about what they would like to achieve. Please bring along sketches, photos, or reference images of items you’d like to copy or draw inspiration from. This ensures we can get stuck into the making right away!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLunch \u0026amp; Breaks: \u003c\/strong\u003eWe will take a break at 1pm to recharge our creative batteries. It is entirely up to you whether you would like to take a quick 30-minute refresh or a full hour for lunch. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the studio, or feel free to head out and grab something from a local café.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMaking, Painting \u0026amp; Glazing: \u003c\/strong\u003eThis day is focused purely on the making process. Once your items are finished, you have two choices for the final finish:\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eGlazing:\u003c\/strong\u003e You can choose from a selection of beautiful, coloured glazes on the day, and your tutor will personally glaze your work for you after its first firing.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eUnderglazes: \u003c\/strong\u003eAlternatively, if you want to add intricate patterns or colours yourself, you can spend the morning building your item and the afternoon using underglazes to paint directly onto the wet clay.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note:\u003c\/strong\u003e If you wish to use the under-glazing option, you will need to plan your time accordingly to ensure your build is finished in time.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat’s Included:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eTwo Items Included: \u003c\/strong\u003eYour workshop fee covers 2kg of clay, professional firing, and glazing\/under-glazing for your first two creations.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMake More: \u003c\/strong\u003eExtra pieces are charged at just £5 per item, which includes the additional clay, firing, and glazes.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eExpert Support:\u003c\/strong\u003e You tutor will be there to support your build, whether you're using slab-building, coiling, or pinch-pot techniques.
