Fused Glass Birds Workshop | Saturday 29th Feb | 10am till 12.30pm
Fused Glass Birds – Saturday 29th February, 10am till 12.30pm
Enjoy a morning spent making your own fused glass hanging. Be inspired by various birds and try to capture the beautiful iridescent colours which we see in nature.
After a brief introduction to how to work safely with glass, Stevie will teach you the technique of cutting and layering sheet glass to produce your own unique creations. You will be given a simple base shape to work into in order to make your design unique. Using metallic effect glass, a rainbow of colours and a myriad of decorative details, Stevie will help you to design and make at least one hanging design, approximately 16cm.
Your creations will need to be taken back to Stevie’s studio, fired in a kiln and will be ready approximately 2/3 weeks after the workshop. Stevie will deliver your work back to HeatherMays for collection or postage can be arranged at cost.
The course fee includes all equipment and enough materials to enable you to make one detailed piece, if you wish to make more extra materials can be purchased on the day, at minimal cost.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? After completing your online booking your contact details will be passed on to Stevie in order for you to contact you directly. Stevie will send you a confirmation of your booking and then an update in the week before the workshop. At this time she will be able to give you any last minute information about the session and it gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
